First thing! Don't even attempt this heli without previous heli experience or you have know some one who can help with relevant experience. Otherwise you will just fail, injure yourself and waste money.

You need a eCCPM (electronic cyclic collective pitch mixing, as required for a 3 servo 120 degree swash plate) capable 6 channel+ radio (£75-£400). I got a Futaba 7CHP for £130 which has enough features to fly the model, such as the mixing of 5 point pitch and throttle curves. So as you manipulate the traditional power stick (left stick up/down in a mode 2 layout) you can mix 0-100% on both throttle and pitch simultaneously to follow any pair of 5 point curves.
